TFCC Tear (Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex)
Wrist Cartilage Tear (Pinky Side)
Tear of the triangular fibrocartilage complex on the ulnar (little finger) side of the wrist. Can be traumatic (Class 1: Palmer classification) or degenerative (Class 2). Common in racquet sports, gymnastics, and after falls. The TFCC is the "meniscus of the wrist": stabilises the DRUJ and cushions the ulnar carpus.
