Fingers Turn White in the Cold
Episodic vasospasm of digital arteries causing characteristic colour changes: white (ischaemia) → blue (cyanosis) → red (reperfusion). Primary (Raynaud's disease: idiopathic, benign, 90%) vs secondary (Raynaud's phenomenon: associated with connective tissue disease, especially scleroderma/SSc). Prevalence 3-5% in general population, much higher in women.
