Wrist Bone Dies (Lunate)
Avascular necrosis of the lunate: a carpal bone in the centre of the wrist. Cause often idiopathic but associated with negative ulnar variance (short ulna) and repetitive loading. Most common in males 20-40. Progressive condition: if untreated, leads to lunate collapse and wrist arthritis.
