Lump on the Wrist

Most common soft tissue tumour of the hand and wrist (60-70%). Fluid-filled cyst arising from a joint capsule or tendon sheath. Dorsal wrist (60-70%), volar wrist (18-20%), volar retinacular/flexor sheath (10-12%). Benign. May fluctuate in size. Often asymptomatic. More common in women 20-40.
