Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS)
Nerves/Vessels Trapped at Shoulder/Neck
Compression of the brachial plexus and/or subclavian vessels in the thoracic outlet (scalene triangle, costoclavicular space, or pectoralis minor space). Three types: neurogenic (95%: brachial plexus compression), arterial (1%), and venous (2-3%). "Disputed" neurogenic TOS is common and controversial. More common in women.
