Rounded Upper Back in Teenagers
Structural kyphotic deformity of the thoracic spine due to anterior wedging of ≥3 consecutive vertebral bodies by ≥5° each (Sorensen criteria). Peak onset 12-17 years during growth spurt. More common in males. Distinguished from postural kyphosis by its RIGID nature: does not correct with extension.
