Bacterial joint infection, most commonly Staph aureus. EMERGENCY requiring urgent aspiration and IV antibiotics. Kocher criteria for paediatric hip. Hot, swollen, EXTREMELY painful joint with restricted ROM in ALL directions and systemic unwellness.
