Inner Collarbone Joint Injury
Injury to the sternoclavicular joint where the clavicle meets the sternum. Uncommon: accounts for ~3% of shoulder girdle injuries. Anterior dislocation (more common) is usually benign. POSTERIOR dislocation is a medical emergency due to proximity to great vessels, trachea, and oesophagus.
