Rotator Cuff Related Shoulder Pain (RCRSP)
Shoulder Tendon Problem
Umbrella term covering the spectrum from rotator cuff tendinopathy through partial tears to full-thickness tears. Most commonly affects supraspinatus. The continuum ranges from reactive tendinopathy (reversible, thickened tendon) through dysrepair to degenerative tendinopathy and eventual tear. Previously called impingement syndrome. Tests like Hawkins-Kennedy and Painful Arc assess for tendinopathy/pain, while Drop Arm, ER Lag, and Lift-Off specifically assess for structural tears.
