Crumbled Vertebra (Osteoporotic)
Fracture of a vertebral body due to axial compression: most commonly osteoporotic (fragility fracture). 1.4 million vertebral compression fractures (VCFs) occur worldwide annually. May result from minimal trauma (bending, lifting, coughing) or no remembered event. Thoracolumbar junction (T11-L2) most common. 70% are pain-free and diagnosed incidentally.
