Buttock Nerve Trap
Pain and/or sciatic nerve irritation from compression in the deep gluteal space: traditionally attributed to the piriformis muscle, but now recognised as a broader entity ("deep gluteal syndrome") involving any structure compressing the sciatic nerve in the subgluteal space. Includes piriformis, obturator internus, gemelli, hamstring origin, fibrous bands, and vascular causes.
