Baastrup's Disease (Kissing Spines)
Spinal Bones Touching
Interspinous bursitis and neoarthrosis caused by approximation and contact of adjacent spinous processes (hence "kissing spines"). Associated with lumbar hyperlordosis, degenerative disc disease (loss of disc height), and extension-based loading. Pain is midline and specifically reproduced by extension. Often incidental on imaging.
