MCL Sprain
Inside Knee Ligament Sprain
Sprain of the medial collateral ligament: the most common knee ligament injury. Usually from valgus stress (contact or non-contact). Grade I (stretch), Grade II (partial tear), Grade III (complete tear). The MCL heals well conservatively because it's extra-articular with good blood supply. Even Grade III isolated MCL sprains rarely need surgery.
