LCL / Posterolateral Corner Injury
Outside Knee Ligament / Corner Injury
Injury to the lateral collateral ligament and/or posterolateral corner structures (LCL, popliteus tendon, popliteofibular ligament, lateral capsule, arcuate ligament). Often from varus force or hyperextension. Rarely isolated: frequently combined with cruciate injuries. PLC injuries are commonly MISSED and have poor outcomes if not repaired acutely.
