Cracked Hip Bone from Overuse (URGENT)

Stress fracture of the proximal femur: a POTENTIALLY SERIOUS injury because of the risk of progression to complete displaced fracture. Two types by location: tension-side (superior neck: HIGH RISK, may displace → AVN) and compression-side (inferior/medial neck: lower risk, usually heals with rest). Common in military recruits, distance runners, and female athletes with RED-S.
