Torn Cartilage Rim of Hip Socket
Tear of the acetabular labrum: the fibrocartilaginous rim that deepens the hip socket and creates a suction seal. Almost always associated with FAI (90%+). Anterior-superior location most common (reflects cam impingement mechanism). Positive FADIR, clicking, catching. MRI arthrogram is diagnostic gold standard.
