Iliopsoas Tendinopathy / Bursitis
Front Hip Flexor Pain
Tendinopathy of the iliopsoas tendon at its insertion on the lesser trochanter, or inflammation of the iliopsoas bursa (the largest bursa in the body, communicates with the hip joint in 15%). Common in dancers, runners, martial artists. Also common after total hip replacement (iliopsoas impingement on acetabular component). Internal snapping hip is a related entity.
