Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI)
Hip Bone Pinching
Abnormal morphology of the femoral head (cam: aspherical bump), acetabulum (pincer: excessive coverage), or both (combined: most common, 86%) causing premature contact between the femoral neck and acetabular rim during hip movement, particularly flexion + IR. Common in young active adults. Associated with labral tears and early hip OA.
