Headache Coming from the Neck
Headache originating from cervical spine structures, most commonly the C2/3 facet joint, upper cervical muscles, and C1-3 segmental dysfunction. Accounts for 15-20% of all chronic headaches. Strict diagnostic criteria (Cervicogenic Headache International Study Group: CHISG). Distinguished from migraine and tension-type headache by provoking neck movements and unilaterality.
