Neck Muscle Knots and Tightness
Regional pain syndrome characterised by myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) in cervical muscles: taut bands with hypersensitive nodules that refer pain in predictable patterns. Upper trapezius and levator scapulae are most commonly affected. Associated with postural dysfunction, stress, and sustained postures. Very common, often overlaps with other cervical diagnoses.
