Inner Ankle Tendon Problem / Collapsing Arch
Progressive dysfunction of the tibialis posterior tendon causing medial ankle pain and progressive flat foot deformity. Johnson-Strom classification: Stage I (tendinopathy, no deformity), Stage II (flexible flat foot), Stage III (rigid flat foot), Stage IV (ankle joint involvement). Most common cause of adult-acquired flat foot. Predominantly post-menopausal women.
