Sore Heel (Sole of Foot)
Pain at the plantar aspect of the heel, typically at the calcaneal origin of the plantar fascia. The most common cause of heel pain (prevalence 10% lifetime). Peak 40-60 years. Self-limiting in 80-90% within 12 months. Associated with BMI >30, prolonged standing occupations, reduced ankle dorsiflexion, and training errors in runners.
